Vision Camera System and Robot Technique
The SWS-A is revised and reworked version of FlexoTech’s most successful mounting machine. Intelligent digital vision cameras are able to define position of register marks on printing plates at accuracy of 0.01 mm.
This ability allows fully automated plate application and also quality checking after the mounting operation of a plate finished.
The required accuracy of quality check could be defined stepless from 0.01 mm. The images of the cameras are displayed in a split screen 27 inches 5K resolution iMAC computer with the possible most professional brilliant image quality.
Fully Automated Plate Mounting
From inserting the printing plate into the mounter the entire plate mounting process will be finished without manual intervention.
No need to hold the plate edge manually also during the smoothing / squeezing operation. The machine automatically moves forward the printing plate and smooths onto the adhesive surface. In the same time the gearless DDR servo torque motor, which type has already worked very well in SWS model, rotates the air mandrel with the sleeve.
The camera carriages of the vision system are moving in full with of the sleeve and positioned by the also already well tested Heidenhain measuring unit with the same accuracy like the aforementioned circumferential positioning.
The SWS-A ensures unique longitudinal and transverse double smoothing and squeezing which totally prevents formation of micro air bubbles between the adhesive tape and the printing plate.
Quality Verification and Test
The SWS-A ensures unique longitudinal and transverse double smoothing and squeezing which allows preventing formation of micro air bubbles between the adhesive tape and the printing plate.
After a plate mounting cycle finished, the also automated quality inspection routine confirms the measured positional deviation from the target by generating a Quality Control Protocol in PDF format. The results out of tolerances are well visibly marked in the evaluation sheets preventing further quality problem and waste at printing.
The Protocol includes lead time of the mounting, job ID, operator’s name and a photo on the mounted plate with the measured data.
Sleeve Inserting and feeding Unit
The optional sleeve inserting and removing unit increases the level of automation.
The sleeve inserting unit pushes the halfway inserted sleeve onto the air mandrel positioned to the locking pin of the air mandrel. The gentle moving and positioning prevents damages on the locking grooves of the sleeves and adapters.
When mounting operation finished the machine feeding the sleeve from the air mandrel and stops in stand-by waiting for the next sleeve.
The SWS-A can be connected to data flow network and prepared for remote on-line service intervention.
There are safety devices preventing personal injuries.
